Life Projects are creative community programmes delivered through The Life Space Project CIC.

Designed and led by artist and Creative Director Jess Farrell, these projects bring people together through creativity, connection and shared experiences.

Working with local organisations, schools, artists and community partners, each programme creates welcoming spaces where people can explore creativity, build confidence and experience the joy of making.

Many of these opportunities are free to access thanks to community funding and partnerships.

SMALL GROUP, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT

HOW IS WORKS

Creative Me is built around projects that take ideas from the very first spark through to a real showcase. Along the way, young people gain the practical skills and confidence they need for the future, with the possibility of achieving Arts Award Bronze or Silver recognition for their work.

  • Developing Practical Skills – from planning an event to budgeting, managing resources, spending wisely, and creating sustainable products.

  • Product Creation & Branding – designing and upcycling pieces, creating logos and brand sheets, and developing online tools to sell their products from Etsy shops to websites.

  • Exploring Without Expectation – a safe space to try new ideas, play with materials, and discover creativity without pressure or judgement.

  • Event & Showcase – our annual fashion pop-up, where participants can display, showcase, and sell their products to the community.

  • Creative Mentoring (Add-On) – one-to-one for those who want to go deeper in developing their unique creative identity.

HEAR FROM OUR YOUNG PERSON…

My experience with Life Styling has been amazing and interesting to see how a small business works and what I could achieve in the future with new skills and knowledge. I feel more confident with sewing which I wasn’t before Jess had shown me the way she does it and now I feel more independent with sewing skills.

Handwritten quote on white paper with a sewing needle and thread. The quote expresses enjoying creativity and making items for pop-up events. Signed by Sophie.
